Ircon International Limited, formerly Indian Railway Construction Company Limited (IRCON), is an engineering and construction, specialized in transport infrastructure. The Ircon is well known for undertaking challenging infrastructure projects, especially in difficult terrains in India and abroad.
Likewise, SCPL is ready for the challenging infrastructure projects, thus we have taken the project in Sundergarh, Rourkela (Odisha) which is in the outskirt of Odisha. SCPL has to face many challenges in this project starting from the natural calamities cyclone like “Fani” which was the strongest tropical cyclone to strike the Indian state of Odisha since the 1999 Odisha cyclone and many others.
The project was about completing the five buildings named Oil Godown, Machine Shop, Pit wheel lathe, Lifting Bay & Inspection Bay. Civil and Pre-engineered steel building was a major part of the project. The complete Project value was of approx. 30 crore, however, being a start-up SCPL was able to bag the sublet part of the project by Rs. 10 Cr. And with SCPL dedication and knowledge about work, the project value was enhanced by IRCON to further Rs. 5 Cr. Total project SCPL was able to bill was of Rs. 15Cr. While we took the project 50% of work was completed in 30 months however SCPL has completed balance 50% of work in merely 8 months. The project was handed over to IRCON on 31st March 2020.
